On the 18th and 19th of October 2025 I attended the chorus and the principals auditions for a production of the musical Grease with the theater company Green Parrot.
Green Parrot is quite similar to BLOC in that they’re an amateur musical theatre company, so theres a lot of overlap in terms of members. I heard about the auditions for Grease from my Charlie and the Chocolate Factory castmates.
The auditions went quite well, on the first day we had to do a dance audition, and despite dance really not being my forte, i still got through it surprisingly well. I auditioned for the role of Doody, it’s the first time i’ve ever gone for a non “female voice” role. I don’t know whether i’m getting that part yet, but i have been told that i’m almost certainly in as a Thunder Bird, just not which one.
