In October 2025 I took part in an amateur production of Mozart\u2019s Die Zauberfl\u00f6te<\/em> at the Acad\u00e9mie d\u2019Auderghem, where I performed as the Third Knabe. The project was quite a mixed experience overall. Rehearsals were often disorganised and tense, mainly because of conflicts with the director and some general inconsistencies in how the production was handled. It sometimes felt like everyone was working in different directions, which made the process more stressful and prolonged than it needed to be. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That said, the cast still managed to pull things together by the time performances started. We ran six shows in total, and while the end result wasn\u2019t perfect, it was satisfying to see the production come together after such a chaotic lead-up. I\u2019ll write a more detailed post about the performances themselves later on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
