My friend Sam Romero and I sing together a lot for fun and sometimes record bits:
Sailor Song by Gigi Perez:
Sam is on guitar and the higher harmony, I’m the melody/lower harmony – we sing the bits without harmonies together in unison. We’ve been doing this song together for ages, but this is the only half decent recording I have of it (2nd March). We sing it one and a half tones higher than the original so i can reach the lower notes comfortably (so he puts a capo on the third fret of his guitar).
Lonely Day by System of a Down:
We’re singing over the Spotify version here because Sam didn’t know the guitar part, so you can hear the original vocals in the background a bit (He’s on high harmony like Sailor Song). We were planning on getting together with some friends to play this and some other songs properly, but never got around to it. This recording is just our first practice of the vocals so there are a few mistakes, and we didn’t go through the entire song (12th January).
